He has extensive experience in commercial and corporate law, private equity, M&A and competition law. He is Chairman and member of numerous supervisory bodies of banks, insurance companies and listed companies.
He is President of The Adam Smith Society, a non-profit association dedicated to the studying and diffusion of market economy, free-market ideas, and competitive market – led economics. He is an independent Member of the Board of Directors of Amundi SGR and Amundi RE, and acted as Independent Member of the Board of Directors of Assogestioni and Molmed; he is the Chairman of the Oxford and Cambridge Alumni Society of Northern Italy.
He earned a J.D. at the University Cattolica del Sacro Cuore in Milan, master, and Ph.D. in law & economics at the University of Cambridge. A Professor of Comparative Business Law and advanced Corporate Law at the Bocconi University in Milan, he is a columnist for newspapers La Repubblica, La Stampa, L’Espresso and Il Foglio, and has collaborated with numerous daily and weekly newspapers such as Il Sole 24 Ore, Il Mondo and Panorama. He is the author of many scientific publications.
